Well the Yankees played against the Cubs and we took home 2nd place.
The kids were really bummed not to have gotten the big huge trophies,
but overall it was an awesome season!

Rylie had a big swim meet on the 14th. She swam 4 events.
She took 1st place in her division for the 100 meter back stroke!
She also swam the 100 meter free style, the 50 breast stroke and the 50 back stroke. She is awesome at backstroke. I don't have any pics of Rylie swimming,
I was taking video. My computer doesn't know how to up load video so I can put it on my blog. SORRY! take my word for it... She's FAST.

Brookelynn has been spending a couple days in St. George with Grandma and Grandpa Miller, We've all been missing her! especially Shelby.
we are all looking forward to heading up to Idaho next week for a little Johnson time. that's all for now. More pictures to come.

They did it!! Jake's baseball team made it to the championship game!!
Tonight's game conditions were horrible! The wind was about 25miles/hour.
The boys would throw a ball, and it would practically come right back to them. We played the Mets. We went three innings without any score on the board and then the Mets hit a home run. Oh, NO. We thought it was over for us. next inning we got 1 run and since We had last ups and we were tied, the yankees had a second wind ( no pun intened) with one boy on 1st, Jake hit a hard ball to center field and made a double the next batter hit a single. bases loaded. Austin, (the coaches son, and our teams heavy hitter) was up to bat. He knocked it way into outfield and hit everybody home!! Score was now 5 to 1. In little league you are only allowed 5 runs per inning. The parents were so stoked!! (kids too!) There was still time left and since we had scored our 5 runs the other team was up to bat. We were all holding our breath that we could keep them from getting any runs. And We Did!!! our championship game is on SAT. June 7th. WAY TO GO YANKEES!!

So about 2 weeks ago weather here was, believe it or not 108 degrees. I couldn't believe we were going to jump right into summer temps without any of the cool 80's. We had a nice little trip planned to get out of town ( and the heat) and head up to Pine Valley Utah for a stay in the Cabin. As Memorial Day rolled around we started to cool off here in Vegas, (90's) so I thought It might be extra cool in the mountains of St. George Utah but that would be a nice change. We loaded up the kiddos, brought along an extra one to help keep track of Rylie, and headed off to the cabin. (Not before Jake played one more baseball game before the holiday. ) If they win the next two games we get to go to the playoffs!! Go YANKEES! It sure has been fun to watch him do so well at the game! He really looks the part out there. He is a very intense player! More home runs to come!!

Base ball has turned out to be one of the Millers Favorite pass times

Jake at bat for the Yankees.

As we arrived at the cabin we found that it had snowed a bit, so there was a lot of wet ground for us to go riding on. We all hopped on our 4 wheelers and got muddy! I don't know what's worse to try to get out of your hair mud or sand. JK ;) Even the girls liked getting muddy on their quads. BrookeLynn decided to practice riding hers and it turns out she's pretty good on that thing.

We spent a lot of time watching her go in circles around us. eventually she ventured down the street a ways and felt pretty good about herself.
Jake is a natural on his quad. We'd let him move up to a bigger size bike except that he shows no fear on the one he's got I can only imagine what he'd do on a more powerful one.

This ride turned out to be a cold one.We ended up having
to stop and warm up over a fire Brent made for us.

( What a good boy scout) My hero!!

When we arrived home, we had exactly 1 day to get things ready for Brookelynn's Pre-school graduation. We were hosting it on Thursday the 29th. Man are those some cute little pre-schoolers gettin all ready for Kindergarten.
My baby's growing up!

Miller time

Well we've jumped on the blogging band wagon. Not that I think I'm going to have all this free time to keep it updated but I guess we'll give it a try.
We'll start with Rylie, our oldest, She's wearing a new perfume these days it's called CHLORINE. She has been swimming three days a week for about a year now for a swim team here in Vegas called the Sandpipers. She has really taken to it. She has competed in several meets and taken home lots of ribbons. She got a first place ribbon in the 100 yard Back stroke!
Rylie starts 6th grade this fall. She'll be busy with swimming and piano and throwing in a little babysitting here and there. She is a tremendous help to me with the little girls.
Jake has turned into quite the baseball player. He plays for Mountain Ridge Little league.
The team he plays on this year is the Yankees. In addition to playing ball Jake plays the piano and goes to boy scouts and swims a little on the side. (also for the sandpiper swim team) Jake will be graduating 2nd grade this summer and will be placed in the G.A.T.E. program next year.
(he's a little smarty pants) We're keeping that boy outta trouble. (I hope)
Brookelynn is the family love bug. She will give hugs to everyone and anyone. She participates in a little dance class on Mondays and she loves to wear a TuTu. Her little sis is just like a duckling to Brookie, Shelby follows her everywhere. Brookelynn is a great big sister always showing Shelby the ropes. Brookie loves her preschool class and is looking forward to kindergarten in the fall.
Shelby turned two on April 11th. She's all about Elmo these days. She is such a girly girl.
She loves to wear a big beautiful bow in her hair, and if I forget to put it in she reminds me. ( BOW is an easy word for a two year old) She loves to follow Brookelynn around and do whatever the big kids are doing. Right now the swings are her favorite. She likes to go high!
For a little family fun we like to take the 4 wheelers out and kick up a little dust. Our most recent trip was to coral pink sand dunes. It's always a lot of fun. (I'm still washing sand out of ny hair) Well that's it for now we'll see how well I do on the up keep of this little blog. hope you can enjoy a little Miller time.
