Just a little fun news about our Jake.
He started Baseball, spring training has begun. This year he'll be playing for the "Oakland A's" He's looking really good out there.

Also his teacher called us the other day to tell us he would like Jake to start going to a 4th grade math class for the rest of the year, because he is getting some of the highest marks in his 3rd grade class and the teacher thinks he would benefit from something a little more challenging.
The very next day, the reading specialist spoke to me and said that Jake is the top reader in the 3rd grade. (last year he was the top reader in the 2nd grade.)
We are so proud of Jake and his accomplishments. I wanted to make a note of it. Way to go Jake!

Rylie and I had a chance to volunteer at the Desert Breeze sectionals. It was a great opportunity to see some REALLY fast swimmers! Rylie and her friend Emma were the awards presenters. What a fun opportunity.
Nascar came to Vegas! Brent got us some tickets and we were off to the races!

It's already February and life is still as crazy as ever. We took a drive to Lee Canyon to check out the snow and take the kids sledding. I think this was the first time Shelby ever played in the snow. Jake and Rylie were brave enough to go down the hills and Brookelynn even tried it once. ( she got injured on her first trip down the hill so that kind of spoiled it for her. ) We had to borrow all our snow gear from friends but we managed to stay warm and have a fun day together.

The Snow was a fun surprise for the kids. Shelby has never seen snow befor. We are not prepared for snow here in the desert. The kids came in from playing in the snow soaking wet!!
Thanks to mom for the snow man making kit.
Since Christmas is coming we decided to take the kids for a ride on the Polar Express. The kids had a great time and they got to see Santa, sing Christmas songs and drink hot chocolate. What a fun way to get us all in the Christmas spirit.

Everyone received a bell from Santa as "the first gift of Christmas. We were hearing bells all night long. All the kids were wearing their pajamas and slippers and bathrobes. The train took us to the "North Pole" where Santa boarded and wandered through the train for picture taking opportunities.
